Superior Sam Everyone Needs a Home
is funded on kickstarter! Dreaded Dead Zone Woes and how to deal with them!
Running a kickstarter is fun, exciting and let’s face- it’s a bit stressful, but there is hopefully a moment in your kickstarter, when you can take a sigh of relief - that moment when funding goal is made!
Most kickstarters start and ends strong, between that the dead-zone.
And that dead-zone is not fun. You post, you share, and you wonder if people are seeing your post, I think the more and more I go to kickstarter I’m prepared for this but still I worry when in that dead-zone. Recently during this down period I have try to focus on the dashboard within kickstarter for things like people that are saving the project, maybe that number has gone up?
With most kickstarters there is a rush at the end, you know/hope it’s coming but still you worry.
Try to relax and stay the course during your dead-zone, don’t panic, don’t seem desperate, if you have had a successful campaign in the past, take a deep breath you have been there before, or even better step away from you computer/phone.
If you are on kickstarter (or other crowd funders) for the first time, or going to soon be prepared for the slowness in that “dreaded dead-zone”, it will end and hopefully you make your funding at the end!
We are working on next steps a stretch goal to add an extra story to the book, and maybe some news on a variant cover!
